Here it is March already. It has been mostly cloudy all day and warm. The weather man has been saying we may be in for some bad tornado like weather. Sure hope not. But if so we are trusting the Lord to protect us.
There isn't anything new that I can think of just the same routine. Russel went to work today, but is home now and has been mowing the lawn. Thats a big job. He enjoys working outside. Not me I don't do to well working outside. Russel has been working toward retirement before too long. He hasn't given any dates as to when he will actually quit his job (two days a week mostly) but hopefully soon.
Rita, Bob, Glenn, Patty, Russel, and Me are planning a trip to Eagle Nest, New Mx. the last Sat. of March and first week of May. Bob's sister Beverly and her husband Phil may go with us. We will take our car and probably so will Rita and Bob. I think it will be lots of fun. We will come home the first Friday of :May.
Tonya and Bryan and girls have moved to Vancouver, Wa. He is youth pastor at a church there. They are closer to Herb and Joetta by about 2 hours, which is nice. Dawn and Jon went to St. John, Wa. to see about a youth pastor's job there but decided that wasn't the place for them, so they are still waiting on the Lord for direction.
Mike and Dawn are celebrating their 10th anniversary at Arlington, Tx. at the New Bethel A/C church. Krista and Eliana will be coming for the weekend as will Bob and Martha Benson, Mike's parents. I wanted to go but didn't get to do that. Some other time I'll get to go.
Well it is about time I got some dinner on the table so better quit this and get busy. Russel will be coming in a wondering when it will be ready to eat.
Take care and God bless each one that sees this blog. Love Donna

January 3, 2013
Here I am a whole year later. There has been a lot of things that has happened this year, don't know is I can remember all of them. I do know that Jesus is as close as I will let Him be to me. He is my dearest friend. I look forward to seeing Him in the rapture or however it may be. Don't know what I would do without Him. In April Russel turned 80. We had a few friends here at the house to celebrate his birthday. He looks really good for 80. In May I was 78. Some days I feel every bit as old as that number says. Joetta and Herb came for a week in September. We had a great visit with them and then we went to Dawn's and had a really good time with them at their place. So neet to see them. Went to see the ones in Enid that are so special to them too. The summer was really hot and I was rather worried about Joetta and Herb coming in all that heat. But it cooled off and rained and was just like Washington weather. That was funny. They wanted a little bit of the heat since Washington weather had been rather damp and cold. I guess they brought it with them. It has been rather cold the last couple of weeks or more. Russel and I went to Dawn's for Christmas this year. Had a wonderful time with them, their kids and grandkids and Martha and Bob Benson, Mike's parents too.
We had gift exchange on Sunday evening so that Chad and Amber and girls could go to Midland, Tx. to Ambers parents for Christmas. AlsoShawn and Krista and Eliana were leaving Christmas Morning to fly to California for Christmas with Shawn's family. Russel and I left on Tues, AM. AChristmas morning. It was raining pretty hard when we left but when we got almost to Wichita Falls.Tx the rain turned to snow packed and ice covered roads. We traveled almost home on that kind of roadsl Sometime we couldn't see the road it was so blinded with the snow blowing. it was so cold and scary to be on the road, but we made it home and praise God for His protecting hand on us as we traveled.
Krista and Shawn are planning to move to Arizona the middle of January. They will be on staff at Tommy Barnett's church working with youth. They are really excited but we will miss them like crazy. But we prayed for them a job in Ministry and this has opened up for them. So to
God be all the glory.
I must quit this and get ready for bed. It has been a very busy day. I am looking forward to the New Year and what God has in store for us. Maybe this is the year the Lord will come get His Bride. Wow what a thought.
God bless all who may read this blog. It was fun trying to remember what happened.
I know I forgot that Patty had another stroke. She is doing pretty well some days better than others. They are trying to sell their house at Longdale and move to Enid. I hope It happens soon for her sake.
Also. Rita found a lump in her breast and it was malignant. They removed it, It was a small lump. but she still had to take radiation for a few weeks. And then as soon as that was over she had hip replacement. So she has been thro the mill. But she is doing well now.
Jerri Kay Powell, Rita's daughter got a divorce from Stacy Powell which has been an upset for the whole family. Hope all works out OK for her and her family.
Jim and Sarah came for Thankgiving. We ate at Tammies house. I believe there was 33 there. It was good to see every one.
Everyone have a wonderful new year. Love you all. Donna

Blog for fall 2011
DEcember 24. Christmas eve. A lot has happened since I wrote anything on my blog. We have a new great granddaughter, Eliana Kate Sanserverino, born on Aug. 11, 2011. That is Herb Herrick's birthday and also Jerri Kay Powell, Rita's daughter. Herb is Joetta's husband. So they are thinking they are extra special to all have the same birth date.
We didn't go any place too special during the middle of the summer. It was so hot most of the summer, up in the 110 degree area most of the summer. I believe it was the hottest summer we have had in many years. We did get to go to Eagle Nest, N. Mx. the last of August or first of Sept. We went with Rita and Bob and Patty and Glenn. Arlan has a double or triple wide trailer there and he let us stay in it. We had a good relaxing time. The only thing that happened was when we went through Cimmaron, N.M Glenn and I got a ticket for speeding in a school zone. We neither one saw a school sign or a flashing light but we got the ticket anyway. It cost us both 117.00 each. I was really disgusted ---that was my very first speeding ticket I have ever had. I have driven a car since I was 16 and now I am 77 years old and got a ticket. Wow I am still disgusted a little bit.
We got a little bit of snow a few days ago. Maybe 1.5 to 2 inches. Everything was all white but it was gone the next day or so. Thats the kind I like. ha It has been really cold, last night was 21 I think.
We had Christmas with Tom and his family last Tuesday. Everyone got to come except Mark and he was working. We had potato soup and vegetable soup. It was all good. I belieave Tom was on call so they didn't stay very long. But we enjoyed having them to come.
We are to go to Sonja's for supper and exchange gifts this evening. I think just her kids and grandkids will be there.
Tom and Terry are suppose to go with us to church tomorrow. I don't think it will be very long but I am glad they are going with us. Maybe they will go sometime when it isn't Christmas.
Well it is about lunch time so guess I had better get my hair fixed, I just washed it and decided to let it dry a little.
God bless anyone that should read this blog. It isn't very much but it is fun to write a little bit once in a while. Hope everyone has a great Christmas with their family and friends. Love Donna

Well it has been a few months of hot 106-112 degrees weather. It has been the hottest summer in a long time. Since 1980 I believe. Hopefully it well begin to cool somewhat before long, although day before yesterday it was 108. Ugg that is just toooooo hot for me.
The kitchen finally got finished and it looks so nice. The counter top looks like granite and the tile on the backsplash blends in so nicely. I am so excited and proud of it. Our good friends helped so very much. I don't believe I could have done all that they did. So to Betty and Dean Ward a great big thank you, We could never repay you for all your work you did, the help you gave so willingly. THANK YOU SO MUCH. It was finished in May, when I went to visit Dawn over Mothers Day holiday.
Another big happening in our family is the birth of Krista and Shawns baby girl, Eliana Kate. She was born Aug.11, 2011, weighed 7.6 length 18.5 inches. She has dark hair and the cutiest turned up nose, just like her Mommy. She is a doll but ofcourse I am partial I,m sure. I hope I can go down to Texas to see her and take her blanket I crocheted for her. And while I am there get to spoil her lots. I finished her blanket the day before she was born. Krista has been having a lot of problems with High blood pressure. She was on bed rest about a month before baby was born and since. Krista had to have an emergency Csection. But God was merciful and saved Krista and the baby. Thank you God.
Next Thursday, Aug 23rd we are suppose to go to Eagles Nest, N.M. for about 5 days. It is rather high altitude so hope I can make it Ok. I am really looking forward to doing so. It is beautiful in the mountains and it has been a long time since we got to go. Thanks to Arlan for letting us use his house up there. Rita, Bob and Patty and Glenn are going with us. So it will be fun..
Well I have to get busy and get our clothes ready since I only have these 3 days to get that done. I will be home on Monday and Tues. I am suppose to go to Ok.City to see the Passage with the senior adults of the church. Then Wed. I have an appointment with the Dentist to fix a tooth that broke off last Saturday. Couldn't get in any sooner. So my days are filling up with things that I need to do.
So until next time. Take care , and God bless you all, Donna

Spring is about to blow away!!!!!
Good morning, it is a beautiful day and the wind has died down a lot from what it was yesterday, April 15, 2011. Yesterday the wind blew with sustain winds about 60 to 69 miles per hour. It was terrible. But to day it is suspose to be warmer and not so windy. We still need a good soaking kind of rain. Maybe next week. Well we aren't through with the kitchen yet. It is all in the dining room on the table. ha ha. The reason we aren't finished is because the counter isn't ready to be installed. Actually that isn't completely correct because it was to have been delivered last Friday a week ago. The main reason is that Heath Persons' Grandmother fell and broke her hip and Heath's dad, who is his helper had to be in Ok C with his mother. So Heath is getting behind with his work because he doesn't have any help. I talked with him and he thought he would be here by next Tuesday, the 19th. Sure do hope so. I can't seem to find anything! I like the yellow color on the walls in the kitchen but at first it was way to bright. We got it toned down and now it is just a soft yellow color. I am glad. Now the dining room and front room needs to be updated, but that will take awhile for that to happen. Have to talk Russel into giving up the flowers in the dining room.:). Only a week until Easter. I always like Easter, there is so much hope for a bright future either here or to come. What joy to anticpate what it will be like in the presence of our King. We can't begin to know what it will be like now. I just want to be ready to meet Him and have my family ready to meet Him too. I need to get busy with my work for today. God bless you all whoever would read this blog. There use to be a saying in years past that maybe we should revive, It was I'll see you in the Rapture. I believe we need to be ready for in a moments notice we could be caught away. So I'll see you In the Rapture. Praise God. Donna

Spring fling
Well it will be spring tomorrow, March 20. That was my mom's birthday and I always think of her for sure on her birthday. It is also a great granddaughters, Macendrew Brown, birthday. So the speacialness of the day continues on. Macendrew will be 13 tomorrow. My how time flies bye so fast.
We are to have another August birthday this year. I am so excited about this baby, Just didn't think that Shawn and Krista would have a baby but they surprised us. I think she is gettng along alright now. For a while she was really sick with the flu. But all is well now.
There are plans to up date my kitchen in the next few weeks. I am so excited about all that is getting done. There is a man coming to texture the ceiling and walls then we can paint them a butter cream color. Not too yellow not too dark either just right. Smile.
We are having a new counter top put on that looks like granite and tile on the backsplash. Lots of work but it will be worth it. The Lord has sent us some help with putting on the tile and maybe some help in cleaning the cabinets. I am so thankful for their help. God is so good to us.
The weather has been so crazy lately. The other day it was 90 degrees and today just in the 50s . We got a few sprinkles but really need a big rain instead.
Russel and I went to the grand opening of a gun shop where Terry works. I signed up for a gun and so did Russel but awhile ago I got a telephone call telling me I had won a pair of binicolur I didn't even know they were giving they away. What surprise.
Well I am getting tired of doing this so will sign off for now. Hope all is well with you and yours. Love Donna

The start of the new year 2011
Well here it is the middle of the month of January 2011. Seems like time just flys by. It has really been cold here. On Monday morning the weather man said it was l degree and it didn't get above 25 all day long. The rest of the week has been really cold too but today it is to be warmer. Maybe into the 50s.
We had a good Christmas this year. Tom and his family came for brunch on Christmas morning. I got to see Dawns family on skype which was good. Krista and Shawn had some big news for everyone. They are to have a baby in August of this year. I am really excited to be Great granny again. That makes me 5 Greats. Russel has 6 Greats. That is a bunch but we love everyone of them. Got to see Joetta and family too. Everyone was enjoying their families.
Always the first 3 weeks of January our church goes on a fast. Because we take medication we go on the Daniel fast. We only eat fruits and vegetables. Last year it seemed really hard but this year it has been easier. At this point we still have 2 weeks to go but this first week has been good. I praise the Lord for that.
I had the ladies of the Bible study group here yesterday. There was 8 of us and 1 child. We are studying the book of Esther. I has been very interesting.
Well the day is passing fast and I need to do some things. I need to go to the church to change the bulletin board in our Sun. School classroom. It still says Merry Christmas so I need to get it up dated.
I pray that this year well bring lots of good things our way. But if there are to be hard places to go through I know that the Lord will be with us and all concerned and help us through those places.
